Meet Our Team

Stephen English

BSc MRICS

Stephen has worked in London since 1980, beginning his career within the Asset Management team of Vigers (now a part of GVA), and most recently as an equity partner of Montagu Evans, where he established and developed their corporate real estate team.

During his career he has enjoyed a wide variety of roles, including a period as a leasing adviser in the disposal of the 4m sq ft ‘Broadgate’ development in The City of London.

Subsequently, he has specialised in corporate advisory work, allowing him to pursue his passion for advising occupiers on a wide range of property matters, including relocations, disposals of surplus space, rent reviews and lease renewals.

His clients have included European Embassies, listed UK corporates, private businesses and charities.

He has acquired a reputation for attention to detail, exceptional levels of personal service and a pride in ensuring that his clients receive a level of service second to none.

Stephen qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1982.

Russell Deane

BSc(hons) MCIOB CBuildE MCABE AssocRICS

Russell is a Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB) , a Chartered Building Engineer (CBuildE) and an Associate Member of RICS with eleven years’ professional experience as a Building Surveyor. Russell started his career with TPS Consult Ltd the consulting arm of Carillion PLC. He is experienced across the defence, commercial, banking, custodial, residential, aviation and education sectors. Russell’s clients have included Defence Estates Infrastructure, Nationwide Building Society, HSBC, Centrica, Great Western Hospitals Trust and Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs amongst others. He has extensive experience undertaking traditional Building Surveying services, including building surveys, defects investigation, schedules of condition and planned maintenance programmes to determine the condition and assess maintenance requirements. Russell has also fulfilled the Employer’s Agent, contract Administrator and Client’s Representative roles on various small scale construction projects.

 

Russell is a highly motivated, diligent individual always striving to balance customer expectations whilst achieving the best possible realistic outcome in given situations.

Siobhan Kelly

Siobhan joined the HBC Agency in May 2012 and acts as our COO.  She has worked for Allsops and John D Wood prior to this and brings with her over 20 years experience in both residential and commercial property finance and accounting.

 

Siobhan shares a strong passion for travelling the globe and when in England, striding the South Downs with the family.

Clair May

Clair is our marketing associate, responsible for business continuity and publicity. Clair has endless energy and is a real live wire. With years of experience in event coordination, planning and hosting she has the perfect blend of personality and skill to make the marketing of HBC meet with its objectives.

Clair is also very busy as a Freelance Event Producer at producingevents.com - working across conferences, awards shows, webcasts & speaker training.

Outside of the above Clair states: " I feed, wash and love my children, my husband and a dog. I have renovated two houses, the second just coming to an end. I love to travel - recent trips include India, Paris, York, Italy, and Spain. I ski every year and never have nothing to do, not that I can’t sit still - there is nothing better than a gritty crime drama and a bottle of red for company! Ever the optimist, I like to get on with the task in hand - which I do with clear direction and humour ".
