Japan Post Bank – until relatively recently Japan Post bank have occupied premises in The City of London within Milton Gate 60 Chiswell Street EC1. HBC were appointed to secure an assignment of their surplus accommodation or a surrender to their landlord. After a few weeks of discussions with a variety of parties it was agreed that a surrender would be the best course of action and this was duly completed.
Japan Post Bank Co., Ltd., is a Japanese bank headquartered in Tokyo. It is part of the Japan Post Holdings group. As of November 2008, it was reported as being the world's biggest deposit holder. It is one of only two banks to have branches in every prefecture in Japan, the other being Mizuho Bank.
